OBJECTIVE:
Phoebe Vernier "La Fibi" carries the traditional aesthetics and way of life of flamenco to share
with the public today and tomorrow, by promoting the understanding of flamenco culture and
it’s arts. La Fibi teaches the next generation of flamenco artists by offering classes, and
professional on stage opportunities. She also teaches dance workshops, performs and
produces flamenco shows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
La Fibi, as Artistic Director, has over 27 years of experience studying, teaching and performing,
ranging throughout the U.S.A and extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area and the North Bay.
She has worked with an International cast of Flamenco Artists including
Bands:
Alegre Picante, Kaweh, David T. Carter and The Trailer Park Rangers, The Sol y Luna Band,
Flametal, Ottmar Liebert.

Ms. Vernier has the distinct honor of being one of the only two flamenco dancers featured on
the cover of DANCE MAGAZINE.
Over the course of almost three decades of immersion in the art form, she has developed a
reputation as a powerful, dynamic dancer, as well as a supportive and strong backup
percussionist (palmista) for dancers and musicians. She is known for her talent, generous team
spirit, and flexibility as an Artist.
2002-2010 Teaches flamenco dance classes on an ongoing basis in Sonoma County,Ca
Offers work/study and scholarship opportunities to
flamenco dance students in need of assistance.
2003-2010 Presents for students performance opportunity’s in informal as
well as formal public student recitals. Integrates students into
Professional level flamenco concerts and performances
